  • WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY PRIVATE TOURS?

    Included is full transportation; first-class dining and beverages, including select liquor, beer and wine; luxury accommodations; a package of guided excursions with custom choices; internet access everywhere; special events; service by professional trip managers throughout; baggage handling; and an iPad to provide digital concierge services and entertainment.

    Additionally, Luxury Rovers has partnered with Travelex Insurance Services to extend each guest the “360° Group Travel Protection for Peace of Mind” plan, which offers you $50,000 of accident and sickness medical coverage, and $250,000 of medical evacuation and repatriation coverage.

  • HOW ARE MY DEPOSITS PROTECTED?

    The Icelandic Tourist Board has specific rules and guidelines for all companies operating transportations, specifically when it comes to protecting your deposits. All payments (whether by check, money order, wire transfer or credit card) are securely deposited into an escrow account in your trip’s name with the Commerce Bank of Reykjavik, and are protected by a Letter of Credit issued by the bank.

  • CAN I PAY BY CREDIT CARD?

    Yes, Luxury Rovers accepts all major credit cards for deposits and full tour payment, insurance premiums and any additional extra services requested. Payments can also be made by check, money order or wire transfer.

  • WHAT IF I GET SICK OR INJURED AND NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

    Cancellations must be received in writing and become effective on the date of the postmark, fax or email receipt. As per the Cancellation Policy detailed in our terms and conditions, refunds cannot be honored for cancellations made less than 3 months prior to departure. If you cancel before 63 months prior to departure, there is a cancellation fee. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase a travel protection plan to cover yourself and your trip investment.

  • IS THIS GROUP TRAVEL?

    Luxury Rovers is redefining “group travel.” As each traveler designs his or her own unique experience, the only time we travel as a collective whole is while in transport or for special excursions and events. Once we arrive, you’ll embark upon your individual adventure, at your own pace and preference. When some day tours require group booking, you’ll be sightseeing with ten other likeminded guests at most.

    Of course. We can accommodate special requests, any way you wish. Just ask and we’ll make it happen.

  • CAN CHILDREN JOIN OUR JOURNEY?

    While our journeys are designed for adults, our trips are well suitable for older children. Regardless of age, we treat all of our guests as individuals; however, a parent or guardian must accompany children under 18. If you’re looking for a customized family journey, our travel experts can tailor an itinerary to your family’s passions and interests.

  • WHO ACCOMPANIES US ON OUR TOURS?

  • WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS SERVED ON THE TOURS?

  • CAN I RECHARGE MY ELECTRONICS?

    Of course! Both PC power outlets and USB ports are everywhere.

  • HOW FAST IS THE WI-FI CONNECTIVITY ON THE ROAD?

    While this depends slightly on where we are in our journey, it will generally take a few seconds to open a new web page. Emails, overall internet surfing, Facebook and Twitter will all be supported. However, downloading and streaming will always be available while on the ground or at our hotels.

  • WHAT KIND OF ENTERTAINMENT IS AVAILABLE?

    Each and every traveler receives a personal iPad and an personal iTunes account. Thus, you’ll be able to download and store movies, music, games and more. In short, your entertainment is completely up to you.

  • HOW DO I JOIN THE JOURNEY?

    It’s up to you how you arrive to Iceland. We look forward to welcoming you at the airport. If you need assistance with commercial flights, we are happy to recommend one of our travel agent partners. However you decide to make arrangements, it’s important to note that you’ll want to arrive at the hotel by midafternoon prior to your tours’s departure date.

  • WHAT IS THE TYPICAL CATEGORY OF GUESTROOMS? CAN I UPGRADE?

    We’ve reserved the highest caliber of guestrooms available, yet upgrades to suites are almost always available. A list of suites available at each location and their applicable costs will be sent to you.

  • WHERE WILL WE BE EATING?

    Much like our tours themselves, we’ve planned a variety of fine dining options for your choosing along the way. From hotel dinners to specialty restaurants, unique meals to group galas, our spreads are specific to each special location.

  • DO YOU EAT AS A LARGE GROUP?

    Many meals are à la carte and individual. That said, you can expect at least one group meal per destination—and trust us, you won’t want to miss it. While breakfasts are usually left up to you, every destination will feature at least one group event or gala-style meal. There will also be ample opportunities to dine à la carte at the hotels or out and about town—on us, of course. We’ll offer recommendations, handle reservations and arrange your local transportation.

  • WHAT BEVERAGES ARE INCLUDED?

    Bottled water at any time—on excursions, in the hotel and at meals. All non-alcoholic beverages, water, soft drinks, beer and selected wines with lunch and dinner. A full bar is available on board the transport, during cocktail parties and at gala dinners.

  • WHAT KINDS OF EXCURSIONS ARE OFFERED?

    Yes. Your Guest Relations Specialist will happily work with you to plan services ahead of time.

  • HOW EARLY DO WE HAVE TO WAKE UP?

    This is your journey—we’ll seize the day whenever you feel like rising. As each destination offers wholly customizable itineraries, you’re not confined to do as the group does in any way, shape or form. We take the location and weather into consideration when planning our departure times and sightseeing schedules.

  • WHAT KIND OF CLOTHING SHOULD I PACK?

    For daytime sightseeing, we suggest packing comfortable resort-casual clothing and a comfortable pair of walking shoes. For evening events, we advise bringing more formal attire—suit jackets and ties for men, elegant ensembles for women. In winter time a totally different gear is needed. A packing list with further suggestions will be sent to you before your tour.

  • WHERE WILL I HAVE LAUNDRY SERVICE?

    Most properties on our itineraries offer laundry service, and many offer dry cleaning as well.

  • IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

    While no smoking is permitted during tours or at restaurants and gala dinners, we’ll happily reserve available smoking rooms should you desire.

  • WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER ICELAND?

    Each guest will need to have a valid passport that remains current at least six months past the return date of your journey.

  • HOW PHYSICALLY FIT DO I HAVE TO BE TO PARTICIPATE?

    Our experiences cater to you—emotionally, intellectually and physically. From summiting scenic mountains to unwinding poolside, we’ll work with you to design your ideal itinerary, at whatever activity level you’re most comfortable.

  • HOW DOES LUXURY ROVERS APPROACH MY SAFETY AND SECURITY?

    Your safety and security are of the utmost importance to us, and we take your trust in our abilities very seriously. We have strong local connections, and will be in constant contact with various security professionals throughout the trip planning process and during your tour. Luxury Rovers team members will arrive several days ahead of you at each destination. Beyond just perfecting the itinerary during your stay, they are caring for your safety and comfort. If it becomes necessary to change an itinerary due to a safety or security issue, we will endeavor to keep you completely up to date on any necessary changes.
